About The Position

Tessenderlo Kerley is hiring an operator for its Eufaula, Alabama facility. The role supports safe, compliant, and efficient chemical production operations in a team-oriented, safety-driven environment. The operator works with process and mechanical systems, hazardous materials, product quality checks, routine inspections, troubleshooting, and emergency preparedness while following company policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read and understand technical materials and regulatory documentation.
Basic math, analytical, and chemistry knowledge.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy and ability to work with basic digital tools.
Commitment to teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Ability to pass a Fit Test and wear full-face and half-face respirators as required.

Responsibilities

Operate the facility in accordance with company policies and applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state and federal regulations.
Load and unload trucks and railcars according to safety and environmental procedures.
Read and record local instrumentation data; obtain and analyze product samples to verify quality.
Perform outside operations, including manual operation of valves and equipment.
Troubleshoot and correct process and equipment irregularities.
Participate in plant safety programs, including meetings, hazard reporting, and inspections.
Support hazardous waste management, including packaging, labeling, and cleanup in accordance with HAZWOPER training.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Assist with facility projects, turnarounds, and confined-space entries.
Implement emergency response procedures and assist in resolving incidents when required.
Support special assignments and other duties as needed by plant management.
