About The Position

The Plant Operator/ Local CDL Driver performs housekeeping, equipment operation, general preventative maintenance, and local deliveries of product loads to customers. The role operates slurry plant equipment and truck/mobile equipment, coordinates inbound lime deliveries, and schedules customer deliveries. The position may require a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet customer needs. The driver is home nightly, although an overnight trip may occasionally be necessary depending on customer needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
CDL with Tanker endorsement.
Clear motor vehicle report.
Positive attitude, good communication, and proven ability to work with the public.
Mechanical aptitude.
Teamwork, maturity, and a strong work ethic.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

Perform housekeeping around the plant.

Safely operate and maintain trucks and mobile equipment.

Perform routine plant inspections.
Perform routine maintenance on the Mixer and Pump House.
Inspect transfer piping for leaks.
Deliver slurry loads to customers.
