About The Position

This position is responsible for using and updating plant maintenance records in a computer-based work order management system, Maximo. The role requires experience in the maintenance of power plant systems and equipment, such as boilers, steam & gas turbines and auxiliary equipment, which includes experience with rotating equipment, pumps, fans, valves, piping, oil / hydraulic systems, conveyors, crushers, and gearboxes.

Requirements

  • Experience in the maintenance of power plant systems and equipment, such as boilers, steam & gas turbines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, fans, valves, piping, oil / hydraulic systems, conveyors, crushers, and gearboxes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, repair and/or replace mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, bearings, motors, valves, augers, crushers, gearboxes.
  • Ability to read and understand plant system / equipment prints and drawings.
  • Ability to read and understand technical literature.
  • Skills to operate power tools and various hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Significant welding knowledge and experience (TIG, MIG, Stick) is Required.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take on increased responsibilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Understanding and ability to follow safety procedures.
  • Self-motivation.
  • Ability to support 24/7 schedule, including holiday and back shift work when necessary as well as call-out situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year technical certification, and/or an associate’s degree in a Mechanical discipline preferred.
  • Experience in the Industrial Maintenance field is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of coal-fired power plant systems (boiler, turbine, generator, feedwater, etc.) desired.

Responsibilities
