About The Position

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations at Equipto’s production facility, with a strong focus on execution, production scheduling, and on-time delivery (OTD). This role is hands-on and floor-focused, ensuring efficient production across fabrication and welding processes while developing a high-performing team. The Plant Manager will drive operational performance across safety, quality, and delivery, while continuously improving throughput, efficiency, and workflow. This position plays a critical role in achieving operational targets and supporting overall business performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Plant Manager, Production Manager, or Operations Leadership role in manufacturing
  • Strong hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and light gauge manufacturing
  • Deep understanding of production workflows and machine capabilities, including: Flat laser, Tube laser, Punch press, Brake press, Welding operations
  • Demonstrated success in improving production scheduling and on-time delivery performance
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment with a strong floor presence
  • ERP system experience required
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and hold teams accountable

  • Experience in high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a production environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead all plant floor operations including production, fabrication, welding, and maintenance
  • Drive on-time delivery (OTD) through effective production scheduling, prioritization, and execution
  • Own and improve daily and weekly production schedules to align with demand and capacity
  • Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth workflow across departments
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams to drive accountability and performance
  • Monitor and improve key metrics including OTD, productivity, scrap, and downtime
  • Ensure efficient utilization of equipment and labor across all fabrication processes
  • Partner with engineering and supply chain to resolve production constraints and improve manufacturability
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, lead time reduction, and operational efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and foster a strong safety culture
