About The Position

This opportunity is for SPX Technologies' Electric Heat business, a leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Monroe City, Missouri facility, focusing on manufacturing operations. This senior leadership role involves ensuring efficient production of high-quality products, managing production schedules, optimizing processes, and leading the operations team. The Plant Manager will collaborate with other departments to align manufacturing goals with the company’s strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience leading manufacturing operations, including accountability for safety, quality, delivery, and cost across more than one facility.
  • Demonstrated success driving operational turnarounds, capacity expansion, or major productivity improvements in a discrete or process manufacturing environment.

  • Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills, particularly in fast‑paced or high‑pressure production environments.
  • Ability to analyze complex operational and financial data and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Effective cross‑functional communication and influence, building alignment with engineering, supply chain, quality, and commercial teams.
