About The Position
Dimensions of Position: Foundry Cleveland Operations
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operational teams to achieve the following:
- Meet or exceed the agreed Vesuvius Standards for Health, Safety and Environmental objectives.
- Meet or exceed the agreed Vesuvius Standards for Product Quality and Delivery.
- Deliver the gross margin for the operations per the agreed budget.
- Deliver the cash for the operations per the agreed budget.
- Manage the Capital Budget insuring projects are justified, well designed and deliver specified return on investment. Participate in Operational Budget preparations.
- Coordinate strategic issues with Sales, Purchasing and R&D groups.
- Facilitate NPI process to insure successful launch of new products.
- For Product Lines positions, coordinate worldwide operations activities to result in a more cohesive group.
- Promote standardization of manufacturing methods.
- Define "best practices" regarding equipment and procedures and implement throughout the organisation.
- Increase the skills of the Operations teams through attraction and retention of talent, succession planning, training plans, compensation and benefits.
