Darling Ingredients is looking to hire a Plant laborer for our plant in Berlin, WI. This is an entry-level manufacturing job with a stable worldwide company. The Plant laborer position earns a competitive entry-level wage of $24.36/hour. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the US

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience is preferred
  • Mechanical abilities a big plus
  • Knowledge about manufacturing plant processes and equipment are preferred
  • Ability to understand a complex process and how everything works together
  • Attentive to safety

  • Efficient and detail-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Start up and shut down the production line
  • Maximize efficiency while the production line is running
  • Monitor control panels and various gauges on key equipment
  • Sample and test for quality
  • Make process adjustments based on quality test results
  • Verify that equipment is properly locked out for repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties such as lubricating machinery
  • Help the team clean out air handling or other processing equipment as part of the weekly cleaning schedule
