About The Position

Plant IV Final Finish Setup Tech will setup and adjust Final Finish equipment, including but not limited to, TUO, Micro-poise, Balance Grinders, Conicity Grinders, SOL, and Geometry. The role requires the ability to set up, detect, adjust, and correct equipment using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic knowledge. The technician will make all necessary setups and adjustments following company standards, observe and make machinery adjustments for continuous operations, and supervise the first tire run following a setup or adjustment, approving it for production. They must react quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary conditions, notifying supervision when such issues occur. The position is responsible for ensuring correct entry and recording of labor time, performing all work indicated, required, or assigned by supervision to ensure high machine efficiency and quality production, and following standard practices and instructions with a high degree of accuracy. The role also includes performing other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Department Manager and ensuring all ESH (Environment, Safety, and Health) procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored. Note: This role may not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

  • Previous manufacturing experience or Associates Degree.

  • Perform all work indicated, required, or assigned by supervision related to high machine efficiency and high quality production.
  • Follow standard practices and instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Department Manager.
  • Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.
