About The Position

The Plant Human Resources Manager will spearhead engaging employee relations and communications programs to promote positive attitudes and support company strategies. This role provides coaching and counseling to managers and employees, guiding them in resolving work-related issues effectively. The manager will oversee the entire hiring process, from posting opportunities to onboarding, and collaborate with plant leadership on staffing needs. Upholding company values to enhance employee engagement and partnering with plant leadership on employee engagement activities are key aspects of this position. Additionally, the role supports employee development through training, career pathing, and the apprenticeship program, while maintaining HRIS records and ensuring legal compliance. Responsibilities include preparing separation notices, conducting exit interviews, processing unemployment claims, and planning employee relations events. The position also involves supervisory duties such as interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and complaint resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR related curriculum or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with plant leadership on staffing needs.

  • Maintain all paper and electronic records within the HRIS system.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and government regulations affecting HR functions.
  • Prepare separation notices, conduct exit interviews, and process unemployment compensation claims.
  • Plan employee relations events to foster a positive work environment.
  • Fulfill supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, and addressing complaints.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
