Plant Health Care Specialist
About The Position
As a Plant Health Care Specialist, you will monitor, diagnose, and treat tree and shrub health issues within a specific territory. Typical work includes inspecting plant material and identifying pests, diseases, or other concerns; selecting and applying appropriate treatments to promote plant health; preparing written diagnostic reports and educating clients about their landscapes; and safely operating spray and application equipment. You will work independently to support a high level of customer satisfaction. The role is suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working outdoors, and protecting and enhancing the natural environment. Requirements
- Ability to work independently with responsibility and care.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills for engaging effectively with clients.
- Willingness to learn plant and tree identification and safe equipment use.
- Commitment to completing required training and obtaining necessary certifications and licenses.
- Authorization to lawfully work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate service-line vehicles.
Nice To Haves
- A degree in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Sciences, Landscape Management, or Turfgrass, or related experience.
