About The Position

Support the oversight and coordination of the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) Metaplant Construction Project as part of the owner’s project team. Assist in coordinating building construction firms, architectural design partners, and engineering consultants to ensure project requirements are met. Review construction schedules, building specifications, and technical documents to confirm alignment with HMGMA standards and applicable U.S. codes. Perform technical and economic evaluations related to construction activities to ensure compliance with design, cost, and quality expectations. Prepare and maintain documentation related to construction progress, status updates, and project reporting. Participate in post construction activities, including building maintenance assessments, repair coordination, and support for structural modifications or expansions. Contribute to organizational objectives by supporting the implementation of project strategies and tracking progress toward key initiatives. Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify operational needs and assist in developing scalable solutions. Develop architectural drawings and review project materials, finishes, construction methodologies, and technical data throughout all project phases. Monitor and verify contractor work and service delivery to ensure adherence to project scope, quality standards, and safety requirements. Provide on site support as the owner’s representative, observing construction activities and reporting deviations or issues. Perform additional project related tasks and responsibilities as assigned. HMGMA is the abbreviation of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. This is Hyundai Motor Group's first EV mass-production plant, and is an innovative plant with cutting-edge production technology.

Requirements

  • More than 2 years construction or engineering experience as site manager or engineer
  • Experience with construction related documentation, submittals, drawings, reports, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations.
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
  • Exceptional time management, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related area
  • Experience with industrial construction on owner side.
  • Experience with industrial building maintenance on owner side.
  • Strong command of the English language (written and spoken) is essential for safety, communication, documentation, and collaboration across the organization.

  • State approved license preferred (Such as PE)
  • Domestic / International travel required
