About The Position

The Plant Engineer III maintains hospital equipment and related building systems, keeps accurate equipment logs, and helps ensure a safe working environment. The role maintains and repairs mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems. The position requires certification and/or licensure in a trade directly related to healthcare engineering.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade relevant to healthcare engineering, such as steam boiler or HVAC.
• Able to troubleshoot and read schematics and/or blueprints.

Nice To Haves

• Five years of experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate logs on all equipment in the hospital.
• Provide for a safe working environment.
• Maintain and repair equipment and systems, including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems.
• Maintain the building and its related systems.
