Plant Engineer III
About The Position
The Plant Engineer III maintains accurate logs on all hospital equipment and helps provide a safe working environment. The role maintains and repairs equipment and systems, including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems, as well as the building and its related systems. The position requires certification and/or licensure in a trade directly related to healthcare engineering. The stated schedule is Sunday and Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The role is full-time with a variable shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to troubleshoot and read schematics and/or blueprints.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade relevant to healthcare engineering, such as steam boiler or HVAC.
Nice To Haves
- Five years of experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
