About The Position

The Plant Custodian II position is responsible for housekeeping as well as light maintenance and will participate as a team member in solving problems and implementing solutions to increase Woodstream’s safety, productivity, and housekeeping standards in the Lititz manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail
  • High School Diploma/GED

Nice To Haves

  • Obtain Fork Lift certification
  • Obtain Scissor Lift certification

Responsibilities

  • Performance of duties to maintain a safe, neat, clean, and orderly environment within the Lititz manufacturing facility.
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks such as cleaning restrooms, breakrooms and smoke shed
  • Utilize floor sweeper and floor scrubber to complete daily cleaning requirements.
  • Complete Air Compressor and Water Oil Separator checklist daily and change air compressor filters as scheduled.
  • Clean-up and replace oil absorbent mat pads for specified machines.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Docks outside as well as around trash compactors.
  • Follow checklist to inspect and clean compressor, fire pump and similar equipment
  • Assistance with set up and break down of meetings rooms
  • Maintain cleaning supply inventory
  • Complete seasonal duties such as salt and shovel sidewalks, clean out storm drains, leaf clean-up.
  • Comply with safety policies of the company and work to achieve an accident free environment.
  • Operate in a safe manner and comply with safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Participate with team members to define issues and suggest solutions.
  • Proficient in use of basic hand tools and equipment needed to perform duties.
  • Record and maintain any data related to work activity in a concise, accurate way and communicate appropriately
  • Minor maintenance and repairs as assigned, including but not limited to painting, plumbing, changing lightbulbs (maintain inventory and disposal), minor carpentry/painting, replace ceiling tiles
  • Ability to follow visual inspection guidelines and complete monthly visual inspection list included but not limited to ladders, emergency eye wash stations, AED’s, sprinkler valves, crane and chain lift, emergency exit testing, etc.
  • Ability to successfully complete training with internal and external resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
