How You’ll Make an Impact As a Plant Controller , you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving financial performance excellence across two plants, located in Franklin, WI, and Victor, MT. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. Participate and support closing processes, performing journal entries, reviewing plant spending, communicating results, and driving operational excellence across two plants. Compare actual financial performance to forecast, budget, and prior year, providing insights to drive improvements. Support and drive annual planning as part of plant leadership and Global Operations Finance. Monitor and support third‑party manufacturing activities and material movements with supply chain partners. Participate in reconciliation of plant property taxes with corporate tax. Ensure internal controls on spending, production, working capital, and fixed assets. Support inventory tracking routines including physical inventory, slow‑moving reporting, and standard cost updates. Serve as capital projects administrator ensuring documentation and justification. Collaborate with plant managers, supply chain, procurement, and engineering teams. Support sales and marketing with product cost estimates. Participate in third‑party audits as required by Global Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Technical skills in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial modeling, and analysis.
  • Ability to contextualize financial information and present analysis effectively in multiple formats.
  • Motivated team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to build relationships across diverse departments.
  • Proficiency in QAD.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous plant, cost accounting, supply chain, procurement, or operations finance experience.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, BOBJ, Power BI, Microsoft products, or advanced Excel.
  • Exposure to artificial intelligence (AI) in financial reporting.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional project teams.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) conversions; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Familiarity with absorption accounting.
  • Exposure to SAP.
