About The Position

As the Plant Controller, you will serve as the financial and strategic business partner for our Parsons, WV manufacturing facility. In this highly visible role, you'll work closely with plant leadership to drive financial performance, strengthen operational decision-making, and ensure strong financial controls across the site. You will perform all plant accounting and administrative activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, inventory management, and payroll. Beyond the numbers, you'll help shape business strategy by providing insights that improve productivity, reduce costs, and support sustainable growth. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of progressive accounting, finance, controllership, or plant finance experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or industrial environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and month-end close processes.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, inventory management, and financial compliance.
  • Experience supporting audits and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate data into business insights.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and influence decision-making across multiple functions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance specialist and trusted advisor to plant leadership.
  • Conduct the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting activities, and long-range financial planning.
  • Analyze plant performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve operational and financial results.
  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, reports, and business performance metrics.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Drive financial visibility and accountability through variance analysis, cost tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Own the plant inventory management process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong inventory controls.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead administrative functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other plant financial processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
