The company is seeking a Plant Controller for its Marion, IN location to manage financial and accounting responsibilities, ensuring financial accuracy, strong internal controls, and seamless administrative support. This role is crucial for maintaining the company's commitment to integrity, regulatory compliance, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification (CPA or CA), active or inactive.
  • 10+ years in senior-level finance or accounting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and financial project accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead small teams.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing/plant environment, including physical activity and availability for after-hours or on-call needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute all financial accounting, reporting, and monthly close activities for the plant.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and internal management reporting.
  • Supervise accounts payable, invoicing, accounts receivable, and banking processes.
  • Track capital project spending and cost fixed assets in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Maintain plant-level tax compliance (sales/use and property tax) and provide information for federal/state corporate income tax cycles.
  • Support administrative functions for quality assurance, food safety, regulatory compliance, and food defense.
  • Provide financial analysis to the President and Plant Manager and support annual financial audits.
  • Oversee local ERP usage, support system upgrades, and maintain accurate tracking of grain receiving, yields, and finished-goods inventory.
