About The Position

Arkansas Talent Group is working with a Manufacturing Company in North Little Rock to lead financial management for a high-volume production and warehouse operation. This role is key to driving accurate financial results, improving plant performance, and serving as a strategic business partner to operations leadership. You will own the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the plant's financial reporting while collaborating closely with leaders across operations, supply chain, and corporate finance. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing finance leader who enjoys being in the plant, understanding the numbers behind production, and helping leadership make better decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in controllership, plant accounting, or manufacturing finance, with exposure to cost accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and cost systems, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial and operational data
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with ERP systems; experience with NetSuite or similar platforms is a plus
  • Background supporting manufacturing or industrial operations; experience with highly automated or process-driven environments is preferred
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor team members, while also rolling up your sleeves and working in the details when needed
  • Collaborative, solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence outcomes with plant and corporate leadership

Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial control and accounting activities for the plant, including general accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting
  • Oversee key balance sheet and P&L areas related to inventory, cost of goods sold, manufacturing expenses, and other plant-related accounts
  • Monitor actual results versus plan and provide insight on drivers of variances in volume, cost, and efficiency
  • Prepare and present monthly financial and operational reporting to corporate finance and plant leadership for inclusion in consolidated results
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for plant-related audit requests, including annual audit and quarterly reviews
  • Manage and develop a small plant accounting team, setting clear expectations and building strong processes and controls
  • Support and strengthen internal controls, regulatory compliance, and tax-related reporting for plant activities
  • Partner with engineering and operations on Bills of Material, standard costs, and process changes to ensure accurate costing and margin visibility
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts for the plant, including volume, cost, and capital planning
  • Identify and recommend initiatives that improve productivity, increase efficiency, and reduce costs across the plant
