About The Position

Serve as the Weighmaster responsible for accurately weighing inbound and outbound vehicles and maintaining precise records in accordance with state regulations and company policies. Operate truck scales; verify material types, load contents, and documentation; issue scale tickets, receipts, and required regulatory forms. Maintain accurate logs and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports in scale management software; ensure compliance with Weights & Measures requirements. Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal teams; provide loading/unloading instructions and site safety guidance; resolve discrepancies professionally. Process tickets, invoices, and receipts; support inventory tracking, production entries, and other plant clerical tasks; report equipment issues, calibration needs, and safety hazards promptly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail with basic math and data‑entry proficiency; able to manage high‑volume traffic independently.
  • Clear communication and customer service skills; ability to multitask in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods in a scale house and work outdoors in various weather when interacting with drivers.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with scale/ticketing software (e.g., Command Cloud) and knowledge of DOT requirements, material types, or plant operations (preferred).
