About The Position
The Plant Assembler provides on-line capacity for moving, conveyor, and stationary boards. The role involves following simple directions and color diagrams, testing and visually inspecting wire harnesses, sorting parts, packing completed parts, labeling cartons, and supporting housekeeping. The employee sets aside packed boxes for quality inspection and closure and must be able to build and tape boxes.
Requirements
- Ability to understand simple directions.
- Ability to interpret simple color diagrams for line plugging.
- Ability to work while standing.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution preferred.
- Some experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; training and advancement based on merit.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-line capacity for moving, conveyor, and stationary boards.
- Follow simple directions and interpret simple color diagrams for line plugging.
- Check whether the wire passes electricity and press the green start button to run the test; use the indicator lights to identify testing and passed parts.
- Place passed parts in the shipping container and failed parts in the reject container.
- Visually inspect harnesses for wire orientation, missing components, and sealed wire.
- Pack 50 pieces per box, as indicated by the quantity displayed on the screen, in a shipping container.
- Attach a shipping label to the end of the carton.
- Set aside boxes for quality inspection and closure.
- Build and tape boxes.
- Assist with housekeeping.
