Professional training An opportunity for career advancement, working as part of an empowering workforce Family-owned business over 100 years in service Shift schedule: Monday-Friday – 32 hours per week Monday-Thursday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Friday: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm Job Purpose and Overview The Production Admin is responsible for managing the daily administrative and clerical tasks that ensure smooth plant operations. Key responsibilities include ordering plant supply and mtc supplies, handling incoming and outgoing documents and supporting the plant overall. This will be a contract position for 1 year to cover for Maternity leave and onsite at the Burlington Manufacturing

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • BA degree strongly desired or equivalent experience required.
  • Two (2) years’ of related experience in a manufacturing/plant environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computers required.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to deal with problem solving in variable situations.
  • Must be able to work well with others or independent
  • Proactive, self-directed independent worker with self-confidence.
  • Ability to read and write routine reports

  • Food manufacturing is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Print and update work orders for the Maintenance Department, and follow up on pending orders to ensure timely completion
  • Answer and transfer all incoming phone calls. Take messages and distribute via personally or email
  • Greet and direct visitors
  • Purchase all plant and office supplies as needed and coordinate goods receipt entry within the system.
  • Enter Purchase orders for all maintenance supplies and capital in SAP
  • Place weekly bulk flour and sugar orders as directed by the Control Room. Adjust daily order quantity and times as needed, and ensure timely communication of updates to suppliers and transport carriers
  • Scan daily receipts into onbase and maintain supplier files
  • Assist with any invoice issues
  • Work with purchasing to clear GRIR – monthly
  • Record Chep and plastic pallet usage in the applicable online systems to accurately report shipments within pallet programs.
  • Print and distribute daily plant paperwork to support production operations
  • Coordinate and process UPS and other courier shipments as required.
  • Create and maintain access cards to the building
  • Provide support for employee-related functions and activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
