About The Position

The Planning Support role develops maintenance work packages for corrective, deficient, and other work activities, ensuring maintenance activities are performed in accordance with site procedures. The position supports work at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station by validating work scope and preparation, coordinating permits and clearances, and providing field instructions and oversight to meet due dates and completion standards. Emergency response organization duties may also be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and five years of related field experience in mechanical maintenance or operations at a nuclear power plant; a degree in engineering may be substituted for the experience.
• Ability to collect and analyze complex technical data from multiple sources, including technical manuals, drawings, weld drawings, electrical and I&C schematics, procedures, and specifications.
• Strong leadership skills for planning, self-direction, and working with peers and others.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with MAXIMO and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must reside within sitewide ERO response time.

Nice To Haves

• Prior planning experience in a nuclear plant is highly preferred.
• Previous site experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance work packages for corrective, deficient, and other work activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Perform job walk-downs throughout Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station to validate work scope, parts, clearances, and package preparation for the maintenance shop and contract maintenance.
• Initiate required permits and clearance requests and identify support needs from other groups.
• Provide work instructions and field oversight at a level of detail appropriate to the work scope to ensure due dates and completion standards are met.
• Perform emergency response organization (ERO) duties as assigned.
