Planning Manager

PACIFIC RUBBER & PACKING INCSan Carlos, CA
$120,000 - $140,000Onsite

About The Position

Pacific Rubber is a well-established leader in the value-add sealing and distribution industry, enabling cutting-edge technologies across semiconductors, medical, aerospace, solar, and consumer electronics. We foster a forward-thinking and collaborative culture built on integrity, respect, and passion; where operational excellence and continuous improvement are part of everything we do. As the Planning Manager at Pacific Rubber, you will own the demand-to-execution cycle; serving as the central point of alignment between incoming demand, floor capacity, and material supply. As we scale, we're formalizing Planning into a dedicated, centralized function — and this role will take a production release process that is currently distributed across the organization and shape it into a fully functioning Planning department. You'll define the processes, tools, team structure, and planning cadence that determine how every order flows through our operation. This is a role for an experienced planning leader ready to own that transformation end to end. This is a highly cross-functional, senior role based in San Carlos, partnering closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Quality, and Finance. The Planning Manager will lead a team of up to three direct reports spanning Production, Demand, and Supply Planning, with eventual oversight and collaboration across Oregon and Malaysia operations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in a Planning, Operations, or Supply Chain role within a manufacturing or hybrid distribution environment.
  • Proven experience building or leading a planning function — including ownership of production scheduling and order release — across multiple departments simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of demand planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and supply chain coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to build planning processes, tools, and team structure from the ground up.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems including production orders, BOMs, routings, lead times, and capacity planning modules.
  • Strong data skills, ability to work across multiple data sources and build consolidated planning visibility.
  • Experience leading or developing a planning team with direct reports.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and influence skills; able to make and defend allocation decisions under constraint.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to multi-site planning coordination across domestic and international operations.
  • Experience with Distribution One ERP or similar systems.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
