About The Position

The Manager, Planning role at PHD is responsible for leading and managing digital campaigns from planning to activation and optimization. This role involves working with senior staff to establish media objectives and strategies, delivering accurate media planning and budget maintenance, and fostering strong client relationships. The position also requires exploring alternative media solutions, demonstrating strategic thinking, creativity, and solid decision-making. The role involves managing strategists and assistants, fostering positive team morale, and ensuring cross-team alignment with various internal and external teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of media planning experience.
  • Proven skills in analytical and strategic thinking, project management, presenting, communication, and digital activation.
  • Clear understanding of the media process and digital landscape.
  • Experience with media, syndicated research, and proprietary analytics tools (i.e., MRI, Nielsen Adviews, eTelmar, DCM, Prisma, Comscore).
  • Action-oriented – ability to identify issues and solutions as well as anticipate consequences.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, to delegate and manage the workloads of others.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Work with and assist the Associate Director and Director to establish media objectives, plans, and troubleshooting.
  • Delegate work across planners and assistants, ensure accuracy, and a strong level of detail.
  • Stay on top of trends and industry news and share with relevant team members and clients.
  • Lead and manage digital campaigns from the planning to activation to optimizations, covering standard display banners, video, and digital audio.
  • Manage-up with Directors on account status and handling team workload.
  • Manage and develop the Strategist(s) and Assistant(s), fostering positive morale and emphasizing teamwork.
  • Be a main point of client contact, managing day-to-day responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work across multiple teams including global PHD/OMD account teams, published media, marketing sciences, and externally with creative agency and partners.
  • Develop and present documents that deliver results for our clients.
