About The Position

The City of Rockingham is seeking a Planning Administration Officer to join their Planning & Development team. This role will primarily assist the public with general town planning enquiries and provide administrative support across various planning teams. The position reports to the Manager Statutory Planning and offers administrative support for a range of application types and development approval stages managed by technical officers. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, and change-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Sound computer literacy.
  • High level of keyboard/computer literacy skills.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office suite of products and administrative procedures.
  • Current “C” Class driver’s licence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within a Local Government environment.
  • Good understanding of statutory planning processes.
