About The Position

Hexcel is seeking a Planner for its Salt Lake City, Utah, Matrix location. The Planner manages production scheduling and inventory for assigned assets and products, coordinates raw-material delivery and production orders, tracks operations against the schedule, and supports shipment priorities. The role works with the planning manager and Planner II to address deviations from the plan.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
Current computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft programs.
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer specifications and requirements.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and superior oral and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least 3 years of planning/scheduling experience in a continuous-process manufacturing environment preferred.
Inventory control experience preferred.
BOM management experience preferred.
APICS certification preferred.
Proficiency in part definition, bills of material, and capacity planning preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft AX preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage production schedules for assigned assets.
Reserve raw materials for production and coordinate their delivery to the production floor.
Track operations performance against the schedule.
Release production orders.
Create shop-floor paperwork and provide it to operations.
Coordinate with the planning manager and Planner II to manage deviations from the plan.
Manage inventory for assigned products.
Reserve inventory for shipments.
Ensure FIFO and prevent orphaned inventory.
Prioritize rework based on shipments.
