About The Position

The Planner Training Lead is responsible for leading the Planner component of the Training Team in support of the program’s mission to develop and deliver training for Planner/Ops systems. This role serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the program’s Planner applications and is responsible for coordinating training development activities, supporting Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and ensuring training dependencies are incorporated into the training development lifecycle. The position supports training, exercises, and test events while collaborating across multi-contractor teams and operational user communities. 25% Domestic & International travel will be required.

Requirements

  • Experience with the program’s Planner/Ops systems and Missile Defense
  • Technical aptitude to become a system expert in mission applications and interactive training system design/production for Missile Defense Agency users
  • Experience in adult learning, education, and/or training environments
  • Ability to create and deliver technical training materials for operational end users
  • Experience supporting collaborative efforts within Agile development environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for briefing, training, and documentation activities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing web-based and/or computer-based training content supporting simulation for large-scale software intensive systems
  • Experience with Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Security+ Certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Planner component of the Training Team in the development and delivery of training for Planner/Ops systems
  • Manage workflow and training development activities for the Planner training team
  • Support the Training Team Lead in execution of training objectives and deliverables
  • Coordinate with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to ensure training dependencies are planned and incorporated into development cycles
  • Author iteration plans for Planner training work
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the program’s Planner applications
  • Support training events, exercises, and test activities within the program environment
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders across the program
  • Develop training materials and instructional content for end users
  • Deliver training to Regional or Combatant Command users in a multi-contractor environment
  • Prepare plans, internal office communications, briefing materials, and training documentation
  • Represent the National Team within the user community during deployed training activities
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions for operational users
  • Support domestic and international travel requirements in support of mission activities
