About The Position

ARSIEM Corporation is seeking a System Administrator 2 to support one of its Government clients in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role involves providing comprehensive support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems, including managing IT system infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. The position requires providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, identifying and resolving problems, and escalating issues to agency management and internal customers. Additionally, the role involves supporting the dispatch system and hardware problems, configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, installing operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining network component integrity, and implementing system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher is required.
  • Ten (10) years' experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.

  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Responsibilities
