About The Position

Sandvik Mining is looking for a Workshop Planner in Val-d’Or, Quebec. The role is responsible for providing administrative support, including data entry, report writing, and customer correspondence. The ideal candidate is motivated, adaptable to a changing and diverse environment, and has planning experience.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least one to two (1-2) years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Strong administrative skills and computer proficiency.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Basic English skills (written and oral).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience processing warranty claims and making decisions based on warranty policies.
  • Ability to work, orally and in writing, in French and English.
  • General knowledge of mining equipment product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Respond quickly and effectively to urgent customer requests.
  • Open and manage workshop work orders, including assigning purchase orders to repairs.
  • Prepare weekly reports on pending orders, shipments, and invoicing.
  • Estimate costs for work to be performed and develop approximate quotes.
  • Monitor daily work orders and plan weekly workshop repairs in collaboration with the workshop supervisor.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed of ongoing and upcoming work.
  • Track cost overruns and communicate them to the workshop supervisor.
  • Invoice suppliers on a weekly basis.
  • Communicate with the manufacturing plant to track parts and ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Process warranty claims for workshop equipment.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.
