About The Position

The Integrated Business Planner is responsible for demand and capacity planning for specific made-to-stock product categories. This role focuses on developing accurate forecasts based on historical demand, in close collaboration with the Marketing and Sales teams to build a robust demand plan. The position also ensures that sufficient manufacturing capacity is in place to meet production requirements. In addition to strong planning and analytical skills, this role requires a solid understanding of the purchasing process, along with the ability to proactively solve problems, take initiative, provide recommendations, and escalate issues when necessary.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience, ideally with a specialization in supply chain or logistics
  • Over 7 years of overall experience in logistics or distribution, including at least 3 years as a demand planner
  • Good knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and principles
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven experience in cross-functional planning at multiple levels
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand and analyze statistical data, formulate recommendations, and drive change
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders to achieve common goals
  • Good understanding of the interactions between Sales and Operations functions, including supply chain, operations, business activities/processes, and finance, within a consumer goods company (medical devices)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with values of accountability, customer focus, teamwork, and empathy
  • Action-oriented attitude ('get things done'), with the ability to combine daily operations with strategic thinking
  • Experience in entrepreneurial, dynamic, and high-growth environments, particularly within medium-sized companies or start-ups
  • Practical skills in applying Lean and Agile management tools and experience working with ERP systems

Responsibilities

  • Build demand forecasts based on IBP – Finished Goods capacity planning for assigned product categories, using Medicom’s planning tools
  • Align demand forecasts with supply and translate requirements into purchase orders, with the objective of minimizing backorders
  • Understand and apply demand planning fundamentals and methodologies
  • Develop forecasts using historical data and trend analysis
  • Work with ERP systems and the forecasting process to understand, analyze, and interpret statistical data
  • Monitor forecast accuracy metrics (forecast error %, bias)
  • Use Power BI reporting tools, including basic drill-down analyses
  • Manage backorder situations and take corrective actions
  • Monitor overstocks and slow-moving items, and implement inventory optimization measures
  • Support new product launches and plan product phase-outs based on run-rate analysis
  • Maintain a solid understanding of overall supply chain activities, including order placement, transportation, receiving, quality control release, and transfers within the company
  • Understand and apply supplier parameters such as minimum order quantities (MOQs), lead times, and safety stock levels
