About The Position

We are looking for a Buyer - General Purchasing for our Airbus Atlantique site in Mirabel. The position is within the Purchasing department, in a team of 9 people. This role focuses on general purchasing related to North American suppliers. Additionally, cross-functional activities within the purchasing team may be requested, such as supplier onboarding, managing deviation forms, and supplier payments. This scope may evolve over time. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Requirements

College degree in business with a specialization in purchasing or supply chain management.
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in computer tools (Google Suite, SAP).
Collaborative and communicative approach, ability to interact with different departments.
Strong negotiation, contracting, and project management skills.
Advanced bilingualism in French and English (oral and written) due to interactions with international suppliers.
Awareness of potential compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity.

Responsibilities

Contribute to sourcing activities, manage tenders and contract negotiation to obtain the best purchasing conditions in line with the Company's requirements and in close collaboration with requesting departments and clients.
Ensure the follow-up of existing contracts with suppliers and internal partners to guarantee the full application of contract terms and conditions throughout their duration and ensure that deliverables provided by service providers fully comply with expected performance (logistics, support, quality, cost...).
Manage daily relationships with internal clients and suppliers on ongoing projects to optimize customer value while minimizing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and risks.
