Requirements

  • Experience in restaurants, catering or high volume kitchen environments
  • Excellent knife skills and deep knowledge of cooking techniques
  • Experience working with fresh pizza dough and wood fire pizza ovens
  • Safe Food Handler's Certificate (Required)
  • A passion for food and a drive to do your best every shift
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and event based hours

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary Trade Certification or Read Seal (an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking wood-fired pizzas to order with speed, accuracy, and attention to presentation
  • Executing pizza menu items from start to finish—including dough stretching, topping assembly, oven monitoring, and plating
  • Maintaining consistent quality and minimizing waste while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Assisting with daily opening and closing responsibilities, including food prep, station organization, and end-of-shift cleaning
  • Maintaining exceptional standards for cleanliness, food handling, sanitation, and overall kitchen organization
  • Supporting the upkeep and proper maintenance of the wood-burning oven and all culinary equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Collaborating closely with the culinary team to maintain seamless communication and efficient service during each shift
  • Following the guidance of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef while actively contributing to a positive and supportive kitchen environment
  • Demonstrating professionalism, composure, and strong decision-making skills during busy service periods
  • Making a meaningful impact by contributing to memorable guest experiences—one handcrafted pizza at a time
  • Supporting the kitchen team with other duties as assigned
