About The Position

The Pizza Maker works as part of a store team to prepare and serve pizzas efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment. The role involves multitasking, responding to business demands, and providing friendly customer service while helping the store meet quality and speed standards. Daytime and evening shifts are available, and schedules may range from one shift per week to five or six shifts per week. On-the-job orientation and training cover taking orders, labeling boxes, and making pizzas. The position is with a store operated by an independent franchisee, which independently handles employment decisions and practices.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, using a calculator if needed.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, and work adequately under stress.
• Ability to meet strict quality-control standards, satisfy unhappy customers, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical demands described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, pushing trays on a dolly, and frequent reaching and hand use.
• Ability to work around the listed conditions, including temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate store equipment and maintain store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products, including making pizzas.
• Receive and process telephone orders, communicating with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility daily.
• Label pizza boxes and support other order-preparation tasks.
• Meet quality-control standards and help fulfill customer orders safely and efficiently.
