About The Position

The Pizza Maker prepares products, processes customer orders, and performs general store tasks as part of a team. The role includes operating equipment; stocking ingredients and supplies; preparing food; receiving telephone orders; taking inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers opportunities for advancement, including into management or franchise ownership. Schedules may be part-time or full-time, and may accommodate school or other commitments.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to understand and provide correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise, rapid movements accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including standing for most tasks, walking short distances, lifting deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, and frequent reaching and hand use.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage areas, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders, and communicate with customers and coworkers to process orders in person and by phone.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage areas.
• Perform other store tasks, including taking out trash and occasional maintenance or sign-related tasks.
