About The Position

Pizza Makers prepare products and process customer orders as part of a store team. The role includes operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing food, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing related paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The job may be part-time or full-time, and schedules may accommodate other commitments. The posting describes opportunities for advancement into management and franchise ownership.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, bending, reaching, and frequent hand use.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients and supplies from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products, including shaping and assembling pizzas.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers in person.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage shelves.
• Use a pizza peel and cutter to handle pizzas.
