About The Position

The PIT Operator is responsible for receiving, shipping, and stocking product in the Warehouse department. The role operates gasoline-, liquefied-gas-, or electric-powered industrial trucks fitted with lifting devices to move products, equipment, and materials. It also involves completing inventory transactions and researching errors to keep product information current and prevent product from expiring. Other warehouse duties, including receiving, shipping, work-in-process moving, and RTS tasks, may be performed as needed. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the position. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Forklift certification.
Experience operating reach-style lifts.
Ability to follow safety guidelines and rules.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to work with Warehouse ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Operate powered industrial trucks and control their driving and lifting equipment.
Position lifting devices around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport loads to designated areas.
Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering lifting devices.
Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
Weigh materials or products and record weights on tags, labels, or production schedules.
Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, trailers, or lifting devices.
Shrink-wrap pallets and products on pallets.
Complete transactions and research inventory errors to keep product current and prevent expiration.
Perform receiving, shipping, work-in-process moving, RTS, and other assigned duties.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
