About The Position

The PIT Operator operates powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to move products, equipment, and materials, and supports warehouse receiving, loading, unloading, and inventory and logistics needs. The role requires safe, accurate equipment and scanner use, commitment to quality and process excellence, and collaboration with warehouse and other support teams. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. GXO offers competitive compensation and benefits including health insurance, 401(k), life insurance, and disability insurance.

Requirements

• Be trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of warehouse experience.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack, or move product, equipment, and materials.
• Use a handheld scanner accurately.
• Load and unload trailers as needed.
• Adhere to the 7S program and maintain a clean environment.
• Demonstrate commitment to process excellence and understanding of the Supply Chain quality policy.
• Perform inbound receiving processes.
• Complete other assigned duties with consideration for quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Support special projects or initiatives as directed by management.
• Collaborate with warehouse operations, procurement, and other support teams to fulfill inventory and logistics needs.
