PIT Operator - 2nd Shift

About The Position

At GXO, the PIT Operator helps provide supply chain solutions by operating powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers and moving products, equipment, and materials. The role also supports inbound receiving, trailer loading and unloading, accurate scanning, process excellence, and maintaining a clean work environment. The afternoon shift runs Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The role requires safe-operation training and certification, flexibility to work overtime when needed, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in warehouse environments that may be hot or cold.

Requirements

Training and certification in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed.
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and more than 75 pounds occasionally.
Ability to lift objects of varying shapes, sizes, and weights.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods.
Ability to handle or manage tools or equipment.
Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of warehouse experience.
Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack, or move products, equipment, and materials.
Use a handheld scanner accurately.
Load and unload trailers as needed.
Follow the 7S program and maintain a clean environment.
Demonstrate commitment to process excellence.
Understand and follow the Supply Chain quality policy.
Perform inbound receiving processes.
