About The Position

The Piping Field Engineer Specialist supports construction, quality inspections, and system turnover through field walkdowns, installation verification, and documentation readiness. The role verifies piping systems against design requirements, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and plot plans; identifies and documents discrepancies; develops punch lists; supports test package preparation; and helps ensure systems are mechanically complete and ready for testing and turnover. Field walkdowns and installation verification are core functions. The specialist supports quality inspections and checks compliance with project specifications and applicable standards and codes. The role also assists construction teams with field installation issues, design discrepancies, and constructability concerns, coordinating with superintendents and engineering. It maintains walkdown reports, punch lists, and system readiness records, and supports safe construction, pressure testing, and turnover activities. The work requires a flexible schedule that may include night or split shifts. Field inspections involve extensive walking at a construction site, including in high heat and humidity; climbing ladders and scaffolding; working on elevated platforms, uneven surfaces, and in small or confined spaces; and some lifting. The employee must be able to enter and leave the project site and use assigned personal protective equipment.
