About The Position

Burrow Global is seeking an experienced Piping and Mechanical Project Manager for a 6+ month assignment at a chemical manufacturing facility on the east side of Pasadena, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for someone having experience developing and managing mechanical infrastructure, maintenance, reliability, and capital projects in a chemical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be adept at driving a portfolio of engineered and funded projects through the execution phase of the project. Candidates will be managing cost, scope, and schedule on each of the projects that have been approved. In addition, this position will oversee the construction vendors and personnel working on the various projects at the facility.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in project management in a Chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States for any company in an ongoing capacity without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Review complete engineering packages (piping, mechanical, civil/structural with SOWs, and I&E with plant support) and ensure they are ready for construction installation.
  • Move engineering packages from IFA to IFC status, obtain construction bids, perform bid tabs, and clarify bids.
  • Ensure piping and mechanical capital projects meet project objectives (cost, schedule, scope) by managing execution in accordance with specifications and standards.
  • Ensure accurate cost budgeting, estimating, forecasting, and reporting of assigned projects.
  • Review and develop scopes of work requirements and construction packages, including documentation.
  • Provide new/revised Process Safety Information to appropriate departments.
  • Analyze and manage project risks.
  • Facilitate safety and constructability reviews.
  • Communicate and resolve technical and commercial issues related to project objectives.
  • Initiate Management of Change, coordinate with the site PSM representative regarding PHA requirements, and participate in PHAs as needed.
  • Communicate project status to leadership.
  • Ensure all project documentation is completed.
  • Exercise direct control of cost and execution of assigned projects.
