About The Position
RQ Construction is looking for experienced Mechanical and Piping Insulators. All work will be performed on a military installation and is compensated in accordance with applicable Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates specific to the project site. Insulators will install insulation on mechanical equipment, duct systems, and piping to regulate temperature and improve system performance, while ensuring all work meets applicable codes, specifications, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 4 or more years of field or trade work experience as a journey-level mechanical piping insulator in a commercial, or facilities operations setting.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Union, private (in-house), military, or trade school apprenticeship program.
- Government, military, or large commercial construction experience.
Responsibilities
- Install insulation on mechanical equipment, duct systems, and piping to regulate temperature and improve system performance.
- Ensure all work meets applicable codes, specifications, and safety requirements.
