Experienced Pipelining Lead, Sewer & Drain Specialty Division
About The Position
Total Appliance & A/C Repair Pros, a 55-year-old, third-generation family-owned home services company, is launching a new sewer and drain specialty division. This division will focus on high-pressure jet cleaning, sewer camera inspections, and trenchless pipelining (CIPP). We are seeking the founding lead plumber for this new division, who will be the first trade employee. This role requires deep, hands-on knowledge of pipelining, as the company does not provide training for CIPP. The successful candidate will be in the field from day one, helping to build the division from the ground up.
Requirements
- Florida journeyman or master plumber license, current and clean.
- 3+ years of hands-on drain cleaning and sewer work experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on pipelining/CIPP experience, including understanding host pipe conditions, resin systems, calibration, cure times, and potential issues.
- Hands-on experience operating sewer cameras and locators, with the ability to read footage, identify issues, and explain findings.
- Hands-on experience operating jetters on residential and commercial lines, including knowledge of nozzles, pressures, and when to use jetting.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Possession of own hand tools.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in condos and HOA buildings, including knowledge of appropriate behavior, dealing with boards, and handling building engineers.
- Manufacturer certifications in one or more CIPP systems (e.g., Perma-Liner, NuFlow, Formadrain).
Responsibilities
- Run sewer camera inspections in homes, condos, and commercial buildings.
- Operate jetters on residential and commercial drain lines.
- Diagnose pipe issues from camera footage and write the scope of work.
- Quote customers or property managers on site, explaining the issue, options, and recommendations, and closing the job.
- Perform trenchless pipelining (CIPP) on residential and commercial lines independently.
- Document every job with before and after video, scope sheets, job notes, and photos.
- Assist in hiring and training the second technician and helper when the division is ready to expand.
Benefits
- Base salary of $60,000 to $85,000 depending on license level and experience.
- 7% commission on every ticket run (jet cleanings, camera inspections, and pipelining jobs once certified).
