About The Position

In the role of Pipeline Integrity Planning Engineer, you’ll help protect the safety and reliability of Enbridge’s Liquids Pipeline system by transforming Inline Inspection data into engineering insights that prevent failures before they happen. Working alongside experienced integrity professionals, you’ll contribute to decisions that safeguard communities and the environment, gain exposure to industry‑leading integrity practices, and see the real‑world impact of your work on one of North America’s most critical energy networks.

Requirements

  • Completion of a degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Registered member with APEGA as P. Eng. in the Province of Alberta.
  • A minimum of four years of dynamically responsible experience in engineering.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with excellent presentation and technical writing skills.
  • Valid passport is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of pipeline strength evaluation methods is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Inline Inspection programs (ILI), including selection of appropriate ILI tool technologies, determination of reinspection intervals, and forecasting of integrity digs.
  • Conduct integrity assessments such as fit for service evaluations, crack fatigue analysis, corrosion growth rate calculations, and threat interaction assessments.
  • Evaluate ILI tool performance and investigate data discrepancies by comparing Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) results from integrity digs against ILI data.
  • Support operational change assessments and incident investigations through engineering analysis and technical recommendations.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and recommendations to support pipeline integrity decision making.
  • Collaborate with internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on industry papers, technical studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
