About The Position

RANDALL Construction’s Prefabrication department is seeking Pipefitters for a 3–4 month project focused on stainless steel piping. This is a full-time, on-site role in the shop in Apopka, Florida. Pipefitters fit pipes to specifications, examine finished work for defects, and ensure that work conforms to specifications. The role involves fitting stainless steel, steel, and various alloy piping for plumbing and mechanical applications.

Requirements

• Experience fitting stainless steel piping.
• Knowledge of plumbing and pipefitting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret spool drawings and technical detail data sheets.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity, with attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a brief verbal pipefitters test during the interview.
• Working knowledge of automatic and manual gas-cutting techniques for piping.
• Excellent knowledge of fitting configurations adhering to ASME B31.1 Power Piping.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English or English and Spanish.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, stand for several hours, bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required; respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational training or certification in pipe welding.
• Knowledge of examination, testing, inspection, operation, and maintenance of piping systems used in industrial, institutional, and general heating and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Fit stainless steel, steel, and various alloy piping for plumbing and mechanical applications.
• Examine work product for defects and ensure conformance with specifications.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to achieve quality objectives and project success.
• Follow safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
