About The Position

As a Pipefitter at Levels II–IV, you will support commercial mechanical service and installation involving wet-side piping systems, including hydronic heating, chilled water, steam, boilers, chillers, and process piping. Projects serve buildings, hospitals, schools, and industrial facilities nationwide. Level II pipefitters independently handle routine to moderately complex repairs, replacements, and maintenance; perform layout, assembly, pressure testing, leak detection, and basic system checks; lead standard service calls; document work; and begin mentoring Level I pipefitters. Level III pipefitters lead advanced installations, modifications, and repairs with minimal supervision; troubleshoot, weld or braze, balance systems, and perform startups and commissioning; guide Levels I–II; and support code compliance and customer communication. Level IV pipefitters work independently on piping and wet-side HVAC systems in commercial and industrial settings, including repairs, replacements, equipment startups, and checkouts without supervision. Level IV requires at least six years of experience and at least three years as a lead. At all levels, pipefitters uphold safety protocols, accurately document work and incidents, and pursue professional growth in piping systems, codes, and technologies. The role is primarily field-based in commercial and industrial environments, including indoor and outdoor locations, mechanical rooms, and rooftops. Conditions may include varying weather, noise, dust, heights, welding hazards, chemicals, and confined-space risks. This is a safety-sensitive position. Occasional regional travel or on-call rotations may be required.
