About The Position

Pipefitters are needed for a fabrication shop job in Baytown, TX. This is a temporary position expected to last 4-6 weeks. The role involves working 10-hour shifts, 5-7 days a week, with an additional 10-30 hours of overtime per week. The job requires the ability to measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipe, as well as lay out and fabricate piping systems according to drawings and specifications. Responsibilities include assembling pipe spools, supports, and components in the shop, fitting and aligning piping for welding and mechanical connections, and inspecting fabricated parts for quality. The pipefitter must be able to read and interpret isometric drawings, spool sheets, and blueprints, and adhere to all shop safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of pipefitting experience (fabrication/shop experience preferred)
• Apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
• Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ANSI, API)
• Ability to read blueprints and perform precise layout work
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Must pass required drug/alcohol screening

Nice To Haves

• Fabrication/shop experience preferred
• Apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience preferred

Responsibilities
