About The Position

Assemble, install, and test piping for various systems in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work with other crafts as instructed by supervision. Regular attendance is required, with flexible hours that may include overtime, weekends, and holidays. The employee must comply with company, federal, state, and local safety, ethics, and environmental rules, regulations, and policies. The role may indirectly supervise and/or train subordinates. Duties may change and may include other assignments.

Responsibilities

Select specified types and sizes of pipe, fittings, valves, and related components.
Measure and mark pipe for cutting and threading; assemble pipes, tubes, and fittings according to specifications.
Bend pipe according to specifications.
Install and verify the operation of high-pressure steel pipes and fittings.
Repair or replace damaged pipe; fabricate and install metal fittings, supports, valves, and other control equipment.
Test installed piping systems and install related items in accordance with applicable plans and specifications.
Rig and flag cranes and use hand signals to move pipes safely to desired locations.
Perform final system hook-ups and commissioning.
Work with other crafts as instructed by supervision and with minimal supervision.
Comply with applicable safety, ethics, and environmental rules and policies.
Maintain regular attendance and work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
May indirectly supervise and/or train subordinates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
