Your Role at KIK Join our team as a Welder/Pipefitter , where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment. Requirements

  • Experience as a welding fabricator in manufacturing or related fields
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2–3 years of experience in a continuous manufacturing environment; chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and respond to call-outs as required to support continuous manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Must be capable of wearing and utilizing Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Or negative press respirator.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a physical examination, functional capacity assessment, and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding certification is a plus.
  • technical training or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily preventative maintenance of all piping systems.
  • Installs, assembles, replaces, and miscellaneous piping throughout facility.
  • The ability to select the correct size, the type of pipe and related material according to job specifications.
  • Follow welding procedure specifications and perform welding jobs that are assigned.
  • Read blueprints and perform material takeoffs.
  • Inspect work site to determine presence of obstructions.
  • Plan sequence of installation.
  • Installs, bends, cuts, threads, and fabricates pipe to particular requirements for the job.
  • Starts up and shuts down equipment in line with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements
  • Maintains the workload and schedule for the facility daily to adjust for changes in work requirements.
  • Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
