About The Position

The Pipefitter Helper assists pipefitters and pipe fabricators in laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for industrial systems. Systems may serve steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing applications. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; the company is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
• Valid TWIC card.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in an industrial setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, and benders.
• Cut or drill holes in walls to permit passage of pipes, using a pneumatic drill.
• Select the specific type and size of pipe.
• Mount pipe hangers and brackets to hold pipe.
• Assist pipefitters with installing valves, couplings, and other fittings.
• Disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipe as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
