About The Position
RQC, LLC is hiring several Pipefitter Helpers for ongoing work on a military base in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The position is part of the company's self-perform team, and the work is paid at the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage applicable to the Puerto Rico military base. Pay is $16.20 per hour, plus benefits. Pipefitter Helpers assist journeyman- and foreman-level pipefitters with physical work on an active construction site. The role may involve operating several types of construction equipment and requires using appropriate equipment and following required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. RQC, LLC is a full-service contracting and design firm specializing in Design/Build projects for public and private clients, with a primary focus on the Department of Defense. Candidates must provide proof of identity and U.S. work authorization at hire and successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check for access to the military-base job site, if applicable.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30-hour, and EM-385 certifications are required; training can be provided.
- Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
- Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check for military-base access, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years, or equivalent, of field or trade work with plumbing systems in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting.
- Experience in government, military, or large commercial construction.
- Courses in construction or plumbing.
Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman- and foreman-level pipefitters with tasks involving physical labor on an active construction site.
